John C. Hayworth

John C. Hayworth has been engaged in the practice of trial law since 1993. His practice involves primarily business, corporate, and commercial litigation in state and federal courts and other venues, including mediation and arbitration. Mr. Hayworth has broad experience representing parties in all ranges of disputes, including coverage disputes, securities, shareholder, and other corporate governance litigation, business disputes, class actions, corporate investigations and special litigation committees, SEC insider trading actions, as well as in the areas of professional malpractice, products liability, and other torts.

Mr. Hayworth is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee and graduated cum laude in 1990 from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1993, where he was named to Order of the Coif. From 1993 to 1994, Mr. Hayworth served as law clerk to Judge Julia S. Gibbons of the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.

Mr. Hayworth participates actively in the community and in bar associations. He is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations, as well as the Federalist Society. Mr. Hayworth is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell and is listed in the 2009 Mid-South Super Lawyers. Mr. Hayworth is a member of and on the Board of Directors of the Exchange Club of Nashville and serves on the Board of Trustees of Harding Academy and the Board of Directors of the Antique & Garden Show of Nashville.
