Kathryn Hays Sasser has been engaged in the practice of civil trial law since 1997. Ms. Sasser has represented individual and corporate clients before trial and appellate courts in Tennessee and Texas. Her practice includes litigation involving insurance coverage disputes, contract disputes, health care fraud claims, employment discrimination claims, general negligence claims, mass tort claims, product liability claims, premises liability claims, medical malpractice claims, and legal malpractice claims. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants, including business owners, land owners, hospitals, physicians, nurses, pharmaceutical manufacturers, chemical manufacturers, and insurance companies.Ms. Sasser has had extensive involvement with class action and securities lawsuits and has advised health care providers on issues such as peer review and credentialing.
Ms. Sasser graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University in 1993. She received a B.A. in political science and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Law in 1996. She was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as Managing Editor of the Louisiana Law Review. Ms. Sasser also authored an article for the Louisiana Law Review entitled "NLRB v. Health Care and Retirement Corporation of America: A Narrow Decision?" After graduating from law school, Ms. Sasser served as a law clerk for The Honorable Henry A. Politz, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She is a native of Louisiana and is licensed to practice law in Louisiana, Texas, and Tennessee.
Ms. Sasser is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations. She is a graduate of the Tennessee Bar Association "Leadership Law" Program and is involved with numerous charitable and civic organizations in Nashville.
